About Sharda University
Sharda University is a flagship institution of Sharda Group, founded in 2009. It is influenced by Jain philosophy and was established under Section 2(f) and Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.
The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), State Government, Medical Council of India (MCI), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Dental Council of India (DCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Indian Nursing Council (INC), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Council of Architecture (COA) and Bar Council of India (BCI).
The university is ranked by NIRF at 86th position in India while 101 out of 125 & 101 out of 150 in the management and engineering category respectively and 69th in the pharmacy category. It is one of the top institutions in South Asia, according to QS Asia University Ranking 2024, and is an NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) accredited university with a Grade A+. Admission and Scholarships
- Admission to Sharda University is based on the merits and the entrance exams.
- The university conducts its entrance i.e., SUAT (Sharda University Admission Test).
- A candidate has to apply to the university through an application form online or offline for the desired course and check the eligibility criteria of the selected course.
- The registration amount is to be paid by the candidate after filling out an application with the basic details and mark updation.
- After the registration process, a candidate has to appear in an entrance exam or opt through national or state-level tests like JEE, CLAT, LSAT, CAT, MAT and more.
- The next step will be PI (GD for MBA) and then admission offered on the basis of performance. An admission is confirmed after submitting the admission amount.
- Sharda University provides many scholarships like academic basis, CUET, ward of defence, girl child, single mother, EWS and more.
- It provides scholarships even on the entrance (SUAT) basis from 10- 100% with a starting percentage of more than 75% for both girls and boys.
- B.Tech/ MBA/ Law/ M.Tech/ M.Sc/ MA/ MCA/ M.DES/ M.Physiotherapy/ LLM/ BOA program scholarships range from 5-100% on the basis of intermediate or graduation and other competitive exams according to the program selection.
- Under ward of defence, sibling, girl child, single mother, orphan and more have 5% scholarship while 10% scholarship on EWS (Economic Weaker Section) whose annual income should not be more than 5,00,000 with other terms & conditions.
- In the girl child welfare scheme it’s up to 100% for B.Tech Electronics Engineering with VLSI on 30 seats only for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana with 80% in 12th or CUET.
- The scholarship was awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and had a restricted number of seats.
